Paul Fargeorge

Music was a constant presence throughout Paul’s early life. His father had been a professional singer in his youth playing, the Chicago

nightclub circuit in the 1930's 1940’s. From an early age, Paul would sing songs from the 40’s and 50’s with his father, and in these early years began his love of singing and arranging vocal harmonies.

Paul began playing drums at 12 when he joined an ancient fife and drum corps as a snare drummer. He was fascinated with the physicality of drumming. As a child of the 50’s and 60’s, he was drawn to the music of that era and it wasn’t long before Paul was nagging his father for a drum set.

With early drum influences ranging from Mel Taylor and Ringo to Buddy Rich, percussion and drumming became his passion and main focus. At the same time, he always pursued his first love, singing, and rounded that out with what he refers to as “modest proficiency“ with several other instruments such as guitar, piano, and mandolin.

Paul played in bands through his teens until 1969 when his music was interrupted by a 4 year hitch in the Navy. Upon his discharge in

1973, he dove into music as a full time career.

Based in the New Haven and Boston areas, he played in successful working bands such as The Helium Brothers, Eight To The Bar, Tom

Stankus, and Nashville singer/songwriter Gary Burr. During that same period, he spent a great deal of time playing studio sessions in New Haven and New York for albums, demos, radio commercials, and TV shows.

Around 1979, he joined the Boston based touring group, “Herb Read and the Platters” with which he toured from Miami to Canada. In the late 1980’s, now well into his 30’s, Paul pursued a more stable career in the field of software engineering, but never completely

abandoned musical pursuits.

After retirement from the software field in 2020, through a series of unlikely and serendipitous events, he found himself again part of a

working band, Southern Exposure, this time based in southwest Florida. He has been working with Southern Exposure for six years as a drummer/singer, occasionally contributing a bit of guitar and mandolin.

Collaborating with his current band members and his niece, lyricist Rita Bouillette, they have been writing songs together and are currently working on their first Southern Exposure CD.

Jeffrey Douglas

Born and raised in Paris, Kentucky, Jeffrey Douglas grew up surrounded by small-town creativity and the sound of live music. By age 15, he was already performing in local bands and repairing guitars — a hands-on passion that led him to a job at a music store while attending the University of Kentucky. That combination of craftsmanship and performance would shape the rest of his career.

Through his close friendship with Paul Martin, Jeffrey was introduced to the Oak Ridge Boys, who recognized his skill and work ethic. In 1995, he moved to Nashville to join the group as their Band Tech — the start of a remarkable 26-year career. Over time, he advanced to Stage Manager and later Production Manager, becoming a trusted and respected part of the Oaks’ touring family.

Along the way, Jeffrey also stepped out from behind the curtain, performing rhythm guitar and dobro — blending his technical expertise with genuine musicianship. His dedication, calm leadership, and quiet professionalism became an essential part of the band’s long-running success.

After decades on the road, Jeffrey retired from the Oak Ridge Boys in 2021, though he hasn’t slowed down. When he’s not traveling as Stage Manager for Rockland Road, you’ll often find him in Florida performing with Southern Exposure.

At home, Jeffrey enjoys woodworking, photography, recording, and camping with his wife, embracing the same sense of creativity, craftsmanship, and connection that has defined his entire life. His story is one of passion, friendship, and an enduring love of music — a life built on doing what he loves and sharing it with the people who matter most.
